In occasione della visita alla Casa della Storia Europea del 10 gennaio u.s. il gruppo di storici italiani ha visitato anche la Biblioteca de Parlamento Europeo guidati dalla Dr.ssa Silvia Polidori del EPRS (European Parliament Research Service).

Italian historians visit the Library |

On Friday, 10 January 2020, I was privileged to welcome a group of historians from various universities in Italy to our Library. They were Professors Francesco Gui (Coordinator of the University for Europe academic network), Franca Gusmaroli and Francesco Guizzi from the Sapienza University of Roma, Daniela Felisini from the University of Roma Tor Vergata, and President of the University Association for European Studies (Ause), Claudio Cressati from the University of Udine, Patrizia Delpiano and Umberto Morelli from the University of Torino, Piero Graglia from the University of Milano, Daniela Preda from the University of Genova and member of the Academic Committee of the House of the European History, Marcello Verga from the University of Firenze and Silvana Cirillo, representative of the Italian Federation of Writers (FUIS).
The initiative was promoted by the University for Europe academic network and by the University Association for European Studies (Ause), with the contribution of the Italian Federation of Writers (FUIS). The professors came to Brussels primarily to visit the House of European History and I proposed to also show them the EPRS Library. The professors were very interested to know about the possibility of study visits to consult EPRS Library sources on the spot. I also made the most of the occasion to present the services that the EPRS, STOA and the Science-Media Hub offer to researchers, science communicators and citizens in general, and encouraged them to download the EPRS App. I encouraged the professors who were enthusiastic about our work to advertise the various research and information sources we provide that are publicly-available among their students. |
